The Brief
Ten Eight was commissioned to design a new premium commercial office tower in the heart of Tehran — a full-scope architectural and interior design project spanning ten floors above ground, a substantial ground-floor reception, and five levels of underground premium parking. The site itself carried both opportunity and responsibility. An existing legacy building was to be demolished to make way for the new tower, which sits within one of Tehran’s most prominent commercial districts. The brief was to design not simply a replacement building, but a new standard — a premium office tower that would set a benchmark for what a modern workplace could be in the Iranian capital.
The Approach
The tower’s identity is expressed most powerfully in its facade. A rhythm of curved, fluted glass fins wraps the primary elevation from base to crown — sculptural at street level, luminous at dusk, and unmistakable against the Tehran skyline. Integrated vertical lighting runs the full height, allowing the building to shift character with the time of day: crisp and architectural under sunlight, warm and inviting after dark.
The Approach
Inside, the double-height reception is composed as a hospitality experience — layered stone, softly illuminated bronze detailing, and a considered arrival sequence that sets the tone for the entire building. The premium meeting facilities and showcase office floor demonstrate what tenancy at Didar Mirdamad looks like when fully realised, while the rooftop garden delivers a quiet counterpoint to the urban context below. Underground, five levels of premium parking are treated with the same care as the spaces above.
The Outcome
Didar Mirdamad introduces a new standard for premium commercial architecture in Tehran. A ground-up commission spanning architecture, interior design, and facade — all held together by a single creative vision from Ten Eight, and delivered as a fully coordinated whole. It is the third full-scope architectural commission Ten Eight has delivered for this client — a partnership that began on the Caspian coast, expanded into Tehran’s most prestigious residential address, and now takes its place in the heart of the capital’s commercial district.
